There are several ways through which one can clean the diamond jewelry but the safest and easiest way to clean a diamond jewelry is to soak and wash it in warm sudsy water using a mild liquid detergent. Then it can be dried with a soft, lint-free cloth. If you does'nt get the desired result you can also use Ethyl alcohol,ammonia solutions, and also the jewelry cleaning solutions.

The alcohol has the advantage of evaporating quickly and not leaving water spots. Ammonia is not only good for cleaning diamonds; it's also good for brightening metal, particularly yellow gold. But take care that alcohol and ammonia may damage other types of stones, consult your jeweler before using them on anything but diamond jewelry. Do not use chlorine solution to clean rings. The chlorine can pit and dissolve gold alloys. This pitting can also occur when rings are worn while swimming.

I am introducing one more tip to  restore and preserve the hue of diamond rings.

First, wash it with cleanser. Mix warm water and certain amount of cleanser in a container, and then dip the diamond ring into it for ten to fifteen minutes before brushing it with toothbrush. After this, wash it clean with fresh water and leave it drying up. But never put it directly under the water tap to clean it up because the strong flow might wash down the diamond.
