   What you have to do is just to mix a squeeze of mild dish detergent with warm water in a bowl and put the gold item into the soap mixture and let sit for a few minutes.Now scrub the jewelry with a soft toothbrush.Remove item from soapy water, rinse it and dry thoroughly with a soft polishing cloth and your jewelry will start shining again.
