I came to know from one of the forums about "Black Diamonds".There they have pasted some pictures of Black Diamond.I really wonder that is true that there is any black diamond in existence?I don't believe that it is true I think these pictures must be forged or those must be artificial one.The article described it as one of the rarest of the world and the biggest too.I am still not convinced about the existence of black diamonds.Do any have any idea about such diamonds?

Yes - there is such a thing as Black Diamonds...in nature they are a mineral called Carbonado.

However the gem quality stones are all irradiated to even out the color!

A good site for checking out mineral info is http://www.mindat.org
