Though the gemstone garnet is highly associated with the color red, it is available in many different colors. In fact, it would not be wrong in saying that, it is found in every color of the spectrum except blue. The most valuable gem is not even red, it is emerald green.

Demantoid and tsavorite, are the two most popular green stone varieties and due to there rarity they can be quite expensive. With the discovery of new mines, they may become more common.

However, the shades of red are still considered as classic and always will be. But, if the traditional idea of a garnet necklace is not appealing, consider a yellow, black or even orange stones to drape your neck. It is just the matter of your taste.

Hi,

Thanks to share such nice information.

I think the rarest things in the world, next to a spirit of discernment,

are diamonds and pearls.
