Hi,

I recently purchased a beautiful strand of faceted ruby beads. I have never done anything with ruby so I am a complete novice.

I am trying to enlarge the hole in some of the beads but the bead reamer I am doing that with seems too soft. Is there a way to do this??

Thank you for any help you may have.

Kind regards,
Mildred.

Have you tried with a Diamond tipped drill bit.
since ruby has a hardness of 9 you will need somthing stronger to bore through.

have a look at this
